how to dress well aka a rollercoaster of a night / village underground / november 21st.

Even though I really really couldn't afford it I bought tickets to see How To Dress Well last night. I've been wanting to go since the show was announced a few months back but you know you say a lot of things you want to do and la la la etc. EITHER WAY it turned out to be the most well spent £15 in so so long and the show serisouly left me completely unable to speak. I have listened to How To Dress Well for almost five years and even though he's not someone I usually bring up when people ask me about my favorite music he is still so damn amazing and yesterday he really blew me away. It was one of those moments when I also felt that music can be so incredibly much more than 'just' music. This is basically what my feelings what sound like if they had sounds.

The show was at Village Underground (where I've never been before (it kinda reminded me of Berghain in Berlin??)) which was perfect and the atmosphere throughout the show was just full of love. As Tom (How To Dress Well that is) said on stage, the world is going through a bit of a pathetic phase right now where people actually seem to think that borders and hate and what not will be the solution to gain world peace. Right there and then I got filled up with a thousand emotions just because I'm in a tiny venue somewhere in one of the worlds biggest and most diverse cities with people I don't know from countries all over the world. We're all here just to see this one person express his feelings publicly on stage and we're all able to connect through it. EVEN just that is fucking proof enought that people should get their shit together and realise that we're all of the fucking same sort with the same feelings (just expressed in different ways) and that love will conquer in the end.

End of rant. I'm just really happy I went yesterday because it was one of the most amazing musical experiences I've had in my life so far. Thank you for that Tom Krell.
